What are Threatened and Endangered Species Surveys and Assessments?

Threatened and endangered species surveys and assessments evaluate a property for the presence of federally and state protected wildlife species and their habitats. The findings are used to identify potential ecological constraints, assess the potential for project effects, and support environmental planning, permitting, and coordination with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.

Species We Survey

Beyond the Survery

GAIA doesn't just conduct surveys — we manage what comes next. If a listed species is found on your site, GAIA can handle permitting, relocation coordination, and agency communication to keep your project on track.
Gopher tortoise surveys are commonly included as part of the standard wetland delineation process for upland sites. GAIA can bundle these assessments for efficiency.

Agencies We Work With

Local municipalities — Wetland Alteration Permits (WAPs), Conservation Area Determinations (CADs)
